everyone needs a comforting hug, a kindly smile and a touching note now and then, to know that they're being appreciated, not only as a person, but also as a friend.

it's not all abt sharing the Good times, having fun, laughing, talking abt dreams we thought might never come true and capturing those moments together... moments that you wished could last forever. it's not all abt saying "I-Told-You-So" at the wrong moments and giving your friend a punch in the guts by saying "I don't think you can do it".

sometimes, it's all abt sharing the tears and the blues, motivating and giving each other that eXtra Push towards their dreams. it's all abt working hard together and being HaPpY for one another.

that's what being a friend is all about. but maybe, you just don't getti and it's real sad...

i would rather remember you as a friend who once reached out and pulled me outta the darkness when i was in total despair, instead of a friend whom i have shared countless times partying and making merry with but you're someone who has never been there.

today is the very first day of 2006 (:
haha (: though it's almost half a day gone...
i'm greeting it with a HUGE yawn...
damn tired, just came back frm a 3D2N Chalet.
but i'm still DRUNK on last night's excitment.
headed dwn to Coasta Sands for Chalet on Fri night.
it was a quiet first night. didn't do much except watch tv.
the second night was the BIG night! cos' it's BBQ night!!! haha (:
the people started pouring in. the kids were running arnd.
the rain stopped. the fire was burning. the food were aplenty.
and the alcohol was flowing... haha (:
the atmosphere was set. there was a night of partying ahead.
come on, it's the new year! we should start it off with a LOUD BANG!!! haha (:

i started bbq-ing with my cousins, and the smoke was getting into my eyes.
but it was all worthwhile when you see the satisfied smiles on everyone's faces.
i feel very happy when i see my entire family(uncles, aunties, cousins, grandma and grandpa etc.) sitting arnd, talking, laughing together, enjoying the company of one another.
the scene was especially endearing cos' it's always nice to know that everyone took some time outta their busy schedules to spend some quality time together as a family.
life ain't all about gg to school, building up careers, making money and fulfilling selfish intentions.
i can say that i'm very grateful to have sucha close-knit family.

i think i did quite a good job outta the bbq-ing. at least, no one complained. maybe, they were nice enough not to. haha (:
soon, it was seconds to the countdown. we had hundreds of party-poppers ready in hands. even grandma joined in. she's sucha dear (:
so, as you guys can imagine, it was rather wild when it was 00:00hrs.
there was lotsa loud bangs and popping sounds! and we were all running around trying to 'attack' each other with our spray cans (those with a long string of colouful stuff coming out).
the adults were reliving their childhoods and the kids were making wonderful memories outta theirs.
we lighted sparklers and there were lightsticks hanging out frm all over our bodies.
haha (: finally, i can say, "LOOK MUM, I'M GLOWING!!!"

good times ends fast. but i'm already looking forward to the annual reunion dinner @ grandma's place on Chinese New Year eve!!! haha (: i hoped everyone had as much fun as i did.

i'm trashing out the old ghosts of the past and starting the brand new yr with a white canvas.

to all my friends, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! love you guys lots (:
